D is for Detroit

I recently visited Detroit, Michigan.  Here are a couple of photos I snapped while we were walking around downtown.  I love all the old architecture in the city however you can definitely see the effects of tough economic times.  The brick work in many of the older buildings are so intricate and beautiful.  Even though it was freezing cold, I had a blast exploring a new city!

Photos from top to bottom:

2.  Detroit River, the Bridge to Canada
3.  brickwork downtown
4.  The Spirit of Detroit
